Formed in early 2018 by military veterans and industry experts, Spec Ops Tools was founded with a single mission - to never forget those who serve us and never fail those they serve. The purpose-driven brand manufactures durable, failsafe hand tools for professional tradesmen and donates 3% of each sale to veteran and first responder causes.
While they had online presence with their Magento store, they wanted to further enhance their commerce through a mobile app. They connected with Krish and shared their vision of a dedicated mobile app for their eStore.
The core focus of the team was building a seamless user interface (UI) of the apps. With 100% responsive layouts, we built apps to provide glitch-free user experience (UX) across multiple screen resolutions. We kept the Spec Ops’ shining reputation in mind while designing the apps for mobile users.
After a thorough brand audit and market analysis, Krish decided on agile methodology to build the strategy. The aim was to create a dedicated mobile application for both iOS and Android users with significant attention to streamlining the communication channel for customers and/or 3rd party vendors. Key integrations included in-app push notifications, elastic search, and Yotpo APIs. The team also integrated multiple payment gateways including Amazon Pay, Braintree, and PayPal.
Soon after the launch of the mobile apps; significant change was observed with order value and customer engagement. With a 100% crash-free user experience on the built mobile apps, Spec Ops’ M-Commerce journey has begun. The initial data reported a total screen views of 22,470 and a daily average of 24 minutes pre user spent on the app. This is just the beginning, surely Spec Ops will unleash new realms with these mobile apps in the times to come.
