For the digital commerce fraternity, the year 2021 was the year of recalibration. All we could talk about was the pandemic-fueled boom in the eCommerce industry at the start of the year. But we had our stumbling blocks. Though the explosive growth rates fell slightly with the miraculous vaccines and opening up physical stores. But this boom was no one-hit-wonder.
Undoubtedly, eCommerce is evolving rapidly in this hyper digitized era. Data from Statista shows that eCommerce in the US showed total spending of $469.2 B in 2021, increasing from $431.6 B in 2020. Also, 13% of the total retail shares were from eCommerce. Shopper’s purchase habits have changed permanently. For instance, about 60% of the customers now prefer online grocery shopping, compared to 45% in November 2020, says Dan Frommer’s annual Consumer Trends report.
For all of us at Krish, the ride hasn’t been any less of a roller coaster! Today, we are here to take on a year-end review journey with all that we achieved, all that we are envisioning, and all that we are proud to take with us beyond 2021. Let’s take a walk down the memory lane in the year that was 2021.
So, all in all, 2021 was a strong year for the eCommerce industry. As we pilot into 2022 with undeterred hope and resilience, we are proud of our achievements in 2021 and will definitely learn from our mistakes.

Here is a heartwarming message from our CEO & MD, Mr. Jiten Padmashali to everyone who was a part of our 2021. He would like to share a few thoughts about this challenging yet fulfilling journey of the Krish family in 2021 while we usher into 2022 on an inspiring note.
Our dynamic team overcame multiple challenges throughout the year. Be it the deadly second wave of covid or the adjusting to lifestyle changes while constantly moving from working from the office to working from home to working from the office again. Emerging victorious on the other side, our team managed to bag some coveted awards in the industry, at the top being FY20 Commercial Partner of the Year by Adobe Commerce. Some others were: being awarded a spot Amongst Top 10 eCommerce Development Companies by Good firms, Top eCommerce Development Firms in India by Clutch, to name a few.
It is said that the quality of our work is our signature. And we work on these lines, believing that every client is unique, and so is the work and passion we put into every project. We successfully welcomed more than 50 new eCommerce brands to our family in 2021 and digitally empowered more than seventy eCommerce brands by serving them with sheer commitment and passion. Our clients are from across the globe and from various industries like Welspun – a multinational textiles company, Casio – a global electronics corporation, The Perfect Water- an American manufacturing company specializing in creating innovative water purification products, among others big names such as Damas, Hamleys, XL Feet and many more. We are humbled and excited to step into 2022 with these and many others as our clients while working towards providing the best tailor-made digital commerce solutions.
2021 was a year like no other, with client requirements like no other! We wanted to leave no stone unturned to serve our clients, including strengthening our ecosystem with new partners. We grab on any opportunity that we find to showcase our love for commerce. During the course of the past year, we enthusiastically participated and organized several events and summits to allow us and our peers to learn and grow and recognize each other’s endeavors. Some of the spotlights were being the Gold Sponsor for the Meet Magento’21 India, exhibiting and proudly sponsoring the Adobe Summit and a live webinar with esteemed speakers Zenul Jinwala – Digital Marketing Head at Krish, and Willie Tan – Sr. Solution Consultant from Adobe. The year was very eventful and urged us to look forward to working on such knowledge-some professional occurrences soon in the future.
2021 was a year to remember for the Krish team, clients, and partners. And we hope that 2022 brings enormous growth opportunities for everyone. With certain inevitable technological advancements like headless commerce getting a headway and AI-leading conversational commerce, we believe that 2022 will be the year of the future for the eCommerce industry. We do have certain surprises up our sleeves while we continue to build innovative digital commerce solutions to enable eCommerce brands to meet their customers where they are.
